Nancy I am working on Christopher Harris of Pulaski County, Ky. who was the father of Mashackar Harris, our relative. I feel he is related to the Dabney's because by his 1st marriage he had a son Dabney Harris who married Nancy McDaniel 6 Aug. 1812 in Pulaski Cty. My research shows Christopher born about 1785/1795 in NC. He died about 1834. In his will he mentions he was leaving his estate to his 2nd wife Rhoda Hudson and their son John Dabney and daughter Clarinda. He was married before and had several children and Dabney was one of them. Dabney moved to Lawrence Cty., Indiana and bought 73 acres on Indian Creek on December 23, 1825. He was in 1830 and 1840 census in Lawrence County, Ind. Also his wife was living in Martin, Cty., Ind. with their daughter Mary [Mrs. Jeremiah]Waggoner in 1860 census. I have tried to connect them to the Dabney group before but everyone says no connection because Christopher was from Madison Cty., Ky. What do you think? Pat Harris
