Elizabeth Dabney b. Oct. 1, 1762, daughter of Capt. James M. Dabney and Judith Anderson, in Louisa Co., VA m. Christopher Johnson, b. June 19, 1759 in Hanover Co., VA. They were married in Hanover Co. Feb. 22, 1777. Children were David Johnson, b. 1782; Ann Anderson b. 1780, James Dabney b. 1784 and Thomas b. 1786. My ancestor David Johnson was governor of SC in 1846-48. Christopher's parents were David Johnson and Mary Berryman. I have James M. Dabney as a son of Geo. Dabney II b.1735 and Judith Anderson as the daughter of Pouncy Anderson and Elizabeth Holland. Would like futher information on Dabneys before 1700's. Thanks.
