I am looking any information on Charles, Robert and Theodocia Jennings who lived in New Kent, later Hanover County VA. Theodocia Jennings left a will in Hanover Co. on 8 June 1725 and proved 7 June 1725. I can not find any existing record of this will. Theodocia left Sarah Dabney, Rebecca Hudson (her God dt.) Elizabeth Brown, Nicholas Gentry, Thomas Harris and John Blalock items in her will. John Blalock exor. and her trusted friend, witnesses were John Smith, Edward Bullock and John Scott. Unfortunately I have not been able to find this will and would like any help on any of the persons mentioned in her will.
I believe Rebecca Hudson was a daughter of Charles Hudson who married a John Dabney. John Dabney and Rebecca sold Charles land in Amelia Co. VA in 1734. I believe the Sarah Dabney is the wife of Cornelius Dabney. Of course Sarah would be Sarah Jennings Dabney. It is my belief that Elizabeth Brown is the wife of John Brown who was the father of Benjamin Brown of Hanover. Thomas Harris is the brother of Capt Robert Harris and son of William Harris and I am not sure how the others are kin to her if at all.
I am of the opinion that Theodocia Jennings was Robert Jennings first wife. Robert Jennings would be the uncle of Sarah Jennings Dabney and Sarah's father was Charles Jennings.
