Dabney Family Genealogy Forum

Charlie, the Dabney booklet does not touch on the "England" surname. I was not aware of Dorothy Dabney marrying an England, but would be glad to review your reasoning. The booklet deals mainly with the ancestry of Cornelius Dabney, the immigrant, some info on his first wife, Eedith, and second wife, Susannah (with her possible Indian blood) and her son, Cornelius. Most of the info is on the family of John Dabney (son of the last Cornelius, above, and his wife, Sarah Jennings). The life of John Dabney's son, William Dabney, is detailed, as well as the royal ancestry of each of his wives, Jane Quarles and Anna Harris. The royal ancestry of John Dabney's wife, Anna Harris, is given. Never before published info on the English ancestry of the Overton family and Harris family is given. I made some valuable new discoveries on both of these families, including the answer to the age old mystery of how the Harris family connects to the Claiborne family! Since you descend from Dorothy Dabney who married an Anderson, you may be interested in an item in the booklet about the first marriage in England of Eedith (first wife of the immigrant, Cornelius Dabney) to a William Anderson.
