Looks like we are related. I have been meaning to do a census search and find who moved when. But from what I have, it appears we descend from the common anscestor, Nathan Sr.

Nathan D, Sr m. Jane Younger
1- Sophia b.1-20-1791, VA
2- Pamelia b. 5-23-1793, VA
3- Jubal b. 7-25-1795, VA (my lineage)
4- Rhoda b. 6-23-1797, VA
5- Bluford b.8-21-1799, VA
6- Elizabeth b. 10-7-1801, VA
7- Tyree b. 8-5-1803, Va (d.1895 my ggg was
37 when uncle Tyree died)
8- Jane, b.10-25-1805, VA
9- Nathan, Jr b. 2-19-1808, VA
10- Thomas Jefferson b. 7-27-1810, KY (moved)

I am thinking you come from Nathan, Jr (#9) above. I do not have the list of his children, but this is the connection cousin. I have a typed transcript from ggg's brother that calls Tyre (#7) uncle and talks about how if one moved, then the other brothers, including Jubal (#3)would move). These folks were hardy (lived a long time) and had a ton of kids, GGGGG(#3)Jubal b. 7-25-1795 was 60 when he and Polly Phips (then 56) had their 10th and last child in 1855. GGGGG (#3) Jubal died when he was 90 years old! Jubal and 4 brothers moved to KY and then Mo. I have a ton of lineage info and I need to get it into digital format. Now it does get more confusing, Jubal (#3) has a son (my gggg) Francis Morgan b. 3-20-1825, who had 13 kids. Including, my ggg Morgan b. 10-26-1847, Nathan b. 1-31-1871, and another Tyre b. 1-28-1862. In the transcipt, Henry Dooley, yes the zoo, is a relative, from the Iowa lineage, which is where my family came from through Morgan, who was born there in 1847. Interesting they all moved from VA to KY, to MO (my mom confirmed this with census info, but I don't have copy yet). FM (Jubal Dabneys son) was five years old when they moved from KY to Mo. In 1843, FM (18 yrs),GGGGG Jubal (#3), and GGGGU(#7) Tyre moved to Iowa (well which state was disputed for many years, that is if Davis county was in Mo or Ia.), the other three brothers stayed in Macon and Adair county, Mo. Nathan Jr. (#9, Jubals kids) m. Kesiah Ellis in Macon Cty, Mo. They went to Texas (your connection)and returned.

Hope this helps,
D. Francis Dabney

My son carries on the Morgan name.
