I wish to learn how the African American Dabney's began in New Orleans, Louisiana. My Great-grandfather was Wilson Dabney of Napoleonville Louisiana. The myth goes that his father (my great-grandfather's) and his brother came from Virginia to Louisiana and seperated. They never saw each other again. Can anyone validate this for me!
