It's interesting that you should ask that. I have a copy of The Dabneys of Virginia. On the page about John d'Aubigne, there is a hand written note. "Susanna Dabney, b 1752 m Lt Francis Strother may have been daug. of John" I assume that they are referring to John 2nd. It shows that he was the father of George Dabney of Dabney's Ferry.
