I am trying to establish that Eliza Dabney, b. ca 1880, in Oxford, New Haven, Conn., d. ?, was the daughter of Charles Dabney, b. March 26, 1741, in Boston, Mass., d. March 23, 1784, in Providence, RI, and his wife, Mary Bass, b. October 24, 1751, in Ashford, Conn., m. May 26, 1766, d. October 12, 1791, in Killingly, Conn. Eliza Dabney married John Spalding, b, November 26, 1776, in Killingly, Conn., d. April 11, 1831, in Alden, New York. Her father, Charles Dabney was the son of Charles Dabney, b. 1703, d. 1756, in Boston, Mass., and his wife, Eliabeth Gardner, b. ca 1705. The father of Charles Dabney (1703-1756) was Robert d'dAubigne, about whom I have no information.
