Karen, I appreciate your response. Sorry, but I have no information for the names you mention.Here is what I do have from family papers.
Jesse Dabbs, Sr., son of Nathaniel and Elizabeth Strange Dabbs, was born 1774 in Union County, South Carolina. His will was probated in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. There are two pages listed in the will book. Family information states Will Record #1, page 46. He died before 1850 census. Jesse, Jr., was born Nov. 5, 1727. He married Sallie Ware, December 20, 1844, in Chambers County,
Alabama. He was lost in the Civil War.
I am wondering now if Jesse, Jr. is the son of Jesse, Sr., or is there a generation between them.
I am sorry to read of your father's death. If you find more information, please let me know. We have intended to go to Dadeville, Tallapoosa county seat, to read Jesse, Sr.'s will, but have let time slip by. If I learn something, when we do get there, I'll post you a message.
