Have conflicting information on the line I am searching. Mary/Betsy DABBS b ca. 1743, died 1821 in Anson Co., N C.,m. Captain Patrick BOGGAN in Wake Co., N. C. My research indicated that she was a daughter of William DABBS who died 1790 in Charlotte, VA. William was supposedly the son of Joseph DABBS and Nanny ------.Joseph and Nanny supposedly had William, Mary and Ellener. Lately I have found info that Betsy was Mary Penelope DOBBS, and was a daughter of Richard DOBBS of New Bern, N. C. A Henry PRUITT b 1654 in VA, d maybe 1722 in VA (He lived in Henrico Co.) m 20 Aug 1691 in Henrico Co., VA Rebecca DABBS b 1666 in VA and died 1748 in Henrico Co., VA. 6 known ch.Henry PRUITT may have married a FIELDS the 1st time. Is my Mary/Betsy a DABBS or a DOBBS? Is her Father William or Richard?
