Yes, indeed, this is your line. I can trace them back
from OK to AR to TN. The last time find them identifiably
in the censuses is 1850, when have Elizabeth Hopper Dabbs
and her children Albert C., William R., Frances J., and
Joseph John, lived in Carroll Co., AR.

The censuses indicate that the family came from TN,
and was in TN as late as 1846. Unfortunately, Elizabeth
is not listed with her husband in 1850. I suppose he
had died some time between 1846 and 1850.

I speculate that her husband was Richard Dabbs
because we find a marriage between one Richard Dabbs
and one Betsy Harper (variant of Hopper) in 1826 in
Hardeman Co., TN. We find the name Richard in the
several descendants who were named William Richard
Dabbs. So, I suppose this is likely her husband.

However, even making this assumption, trying to find
a suitable Richard Dabbs in Hardeman Co. has proved
difficult.

If you know anything about this, or hear anything,
I'd appreciate knowing.

Lou
