Hello Chris,
I had heard that THOMAS PATRICK DABBS was the brother to DAVID SYDNEY DABBS. If you have any information on THOMAS PATRICK DABBS, I would greatly appreciate it. THOMAS PATRICK named one of his sons SYDNEY.
I have been trying to find just where our family came up with the name "SYDNEY". I don't know if they had any connection to the LANIER FAMILY or not. They, as you probably know lived in Anson for awhile, and they had a son named SYDNEY LANIER, who was the poet. He died, I believe down in Macon, Ga.
