I almost forgot about your reference to Rebecca
DOBBS who married Henry PRUITT in 1691. I am a
descendant of this line throught my mothers family
I have not yet determined for certain whether
Rebecca was a DABBS or DOBBS. I am fairly sure
her maiden name was DABBS. I am aware of no DOBBS
families in the area of Henrico/Goochland Co., VA
during this period.

There was a Richard DOBBS/DABBS in Henrico in the
1670s or so who could have been the father of
Rebecca and an older still James DABBS/DOBBS also
in Henrico Co. in the 1650s who could have been
Richard's father, buth I have no proofs of this.
