Hi, Kaye,
I just thought I would let you know that I can remember my daddy (really my great uncle who had legally adopted me after my mother, EVA MILDRED [DABBS] WILLIAMSON died) speak of a COTTON EUBANKS who lived in my hometown of Rockingham, N.C., and was a friend of his. Since the name "COTTON" is a surname in our region, as well as the name "EUBANKS", maybe your EUBANKS relative came from that region. When I was growing up (back in the mist of time) there used to be several of both families in Richmond County.
Best wishes on your research,
Bobbie
