Thank you very much. John Pendleton sired the following: Charles Otis -wife 'Nita, Daniel Banks (my father) married Annie Elizabeth Wharton, J.P.(no name on birth certificate - only initials) who married Norma ?, a half sister, Mary Louise Clark ( Mary S. Stowers remarried to Clark). I find the names interesting because of the incidence of repeats in them. There seems to be a thread of similarity in the history - my father named his children John Pendleton, Jean Ann, Daniel banks Jr., James Michael, Charles Leslie, and Patricia Mabel. Same with my uncles and their offspring. The Johns, Patricias, Elizabeths, Jameses and Michaels seem predominant.
I recall some stories as a very young child of my grandfather coming from Ireland to (I think) Tennesse, then Kentucky, before settling in Laredo, Texas. One of the family stories was of Pancho Villa attempting to buy, then force my grandfather into selling his dairy to Villa for smuggling accessibilty. I do recall that my grandfather was a superb marksman, he was also renowned as a handgun expert and I can recall many times watching him strike kitchen matches with a frontiers model 45. He was close friends with Topperwein ( another famous rifle marksman). Grandfather later settled in Lexington, Texas - where he died.
Thank you again for your time.
