I have looked in Jack Autrey Dabbs' book, DABBS FAMILY GENEALOGY, U.S., and found several references to a ROBERT LEE DABBS, both JUNIOR & SENIOR; two MONROES and 1 MUNROE. Several seem to be in reference to the same person. Can you let me know anything about the birth date of your ROBERT LEE DABBS?
I am working on DAVID SYDNEY DABBS - b. 1812 N.C. (Probably Anson Co.) who md. ELIZA WEBB, dau. of JOHN & ELIZABETH (HUNTLEY) (1st husband - FAULKNER) WEBB. I believe his father might have been JOHN DABBS, eldest son of NATHANIEL DABBS, who died in Union Co., S.C. in 1800. JOHN DABBS was the only DABBS who showed a son of the correct age bracket in 1820 Anson Co., N.C. Census. JOHN DABBS left Anson Co. and went to DeKalb Co., Ga., where he died 1833.
Let me hear from you and I will check the book mentioned above, and get back to you with whatever it shows, but I do need some dates.
Good luck - Bobbie
