Hello, I saw your message at genforum. I am Harold Vaughn Dabbs' step-granddaughter. His son Kenneth Harold Dabbs is married to my mother Nelma Jane King Rhodes. I am trying to put together the Dabbs family to present to my step-dad as a gift for being there for me throughout most of my life and without his finding out what I am doing. I originated the post that you were replying too. Let me tell you, getting in tough with my grandpa is going to be hard, he is traveling all over the country.
I do not have your line in my research, but then again, I just started on the Dabbs'. Do you know if William Alvin's wife Thelma Elaine Deere come from Henderson County? I never knew here as my mother and Kenneth married after she had passed.
If you know Harold Vaughn, you know he is quite a character and I love him just as much as if he were blood kin to me. I live in Oklahoma and he has come out her to visit me a few times in his travels.
I would appreciate any help you could give me on this. I want to present this to my step-dad for Father's Day. I am also looking for family pictures that I can include in the book I am preparing.
