Hi Zlatica
Thank you for the information. The relatives located in Germany moved there from Poland and are directly related to my ancestor.Unfortunately we do not know my ancestors parentage, hence my request for any information. In response to your other question regarding "Tusewark"I believe this was written in a birthday book either by him or his wife in NZ in relation to where he was born - I have also googled it and got nowhere.I am also interested to know if there would be Trapski's who were not of Hebrew descent. As I am not greatly familiar with the Catholic or Jewish faiths is it possible his family had converted at some stage?I know the history of Poland/Russia/Czech/Lithunia has been very fluid in terms of wars etc over hundreds of years and that sometimes "blending in" becomes the only option to survival. Do you have any thought or insights?
