I assume you mean Moravia.Svata (=Saint) Sidonie -- now simply Sidonie -- is a tiny hamlet right on the Slovak border, a few miles east of the small Moravian town of Brumov Bylnice. The surname probably means someone from Lysa, a Slovak village about 10 miles to the northeast. ("Lysa," meaning bald, refers in this case to a nearby outcropping of bare rock on the ridge that forms the border.) I can find only one occurence of the surname (pronounced "LEE-sah-check") in Slovakia, in the village of S'ebes't'anova near the town of Povaz'ska Bystrica, about 20 miles east of Sidonie.
