I am most grateful for your help. Unfortunately, as a 3rd
generation American, paternal side, I speak no Czech. I do
recall my aunt mentioning that the family came from somewhere reasonably close to Praha (Prague).
The three children of Anton and Josefa Balvin, I am aware of
were all born in Bohemia-Austria, per other records. Below
are their names, dates of birth as we know them, and spouse's names. All 3 were married in the New York City area. All had children, born also in the NYC area.
JOSEPH BALVIN - born Sep. 18,1880 Bohemia-Austria
m. to Antonia Havlinova -
died Feb. 24,1940 - accident
FRANK RUDOLF BALVIN - born Nov 21, 1881 - Bohemia-Austria
married to Barbora Pejril- 1901 NYC
died Apr. 21, 1932 -
MARIE (MARY) BALVIN - born Aug 2, 1884 - Bohemia-Austria
married to Jan Nepomuk Sindelar - Oct.5, 1905 NYC -
Mr. Sindelar died Jul 1931
Marie remarried - Benjamin Kletecka
Marie died Feb.22, 1959 - NYC
