I did not find that spelling among the nearly 30 variations. When they reached American shores the spelling became whatever the people filling out the papers thought it sounded like. Thus, all spellings are likely related but not sure which spelling originated in the homeland. Thank you for clarifying the likely country of origin. I appreciate your help.
