Audrey,
I found both obits in the Bryan Eagle michrofilm at the Bryan Library. Frank's is very scratchy due to the quality of the film. I will try to get them to you in the next week. I have been looking for genealogy information for several years. I 've looked into related ones too because you can sometimes find clues there. I am glad to share with you. If you have more or find more about Amalie and family, please share with me, she was definately related to my great grandfather.
Some other notes:
There are Census records for Frank and Amalie for 1900,1910 and 1920. The farmed in Kurtin, Brazos Co.in 1900 , near West in Mclennan Co in 1910. and in Millican in Brazos. Co in 1920. There are census records for Amalie after Frank died.
Frank and Amalie did have another son, Antone. He was born in Dec. 1900 and died in October 1918 of influenza. There was a huge epidemic of influenza that year. They were living in Mclennan Co. when he died. My grandmother was a teenager too then and became very ill that year with the flu but survived.
I am not very organized so it will take awhile to find other info I have.
Thanks
