Hello Laura,

My sister does research at the Trebon Archives 2 days a week but she charges a fee for her reseach - $14 per hour, which includes transcripts of the original records translated into English.

I was in Pravikov (or rather drove through it) 2 years ago when I was visiting my other sister in Kamenice nad Lipou. It's just a tiny village with no more than 20 houses or so. It wouldn't be hard to find out it there are any of your relatives still living there.

Don't be surprized if the church in Kamenice is locked when you go there (I didn't get to see the inside of the church when I was there because the door was locked). There have been thefts in many churches in the Czech Republic and they now keep many of them locked. But I'm sure that if you explained to the resident priest of caretaker that your acestors were married there and you came all the way from the US to see it, they would let you in.

Please contact me at josephrek@yahoo.ca if you would like my sister do a bit of some research for you.

Otherwise have a wonderful trip in June. It's the best time to visit the Czech Republic.

Joseph Rek
