Hi Amanda.
Svoboda (old spelling Swoboda) is very common surname in Bohemia, Moravia and Slovakia. Surname SWABODA can be Russian or Ukrainian surname. The translation of it is Freeman.
Solanka seems be Slovak or Russian surname. This word is name of Russian fish soup. In Bohemia is it the name of pear variety.
All the best. Tony.
