A USA white male friend of mine with the last name of BRITTIAN, age 56, was born in olching, Germany. His Grandmother's last name was von Solanka & she was born on a train.
He knows that he is Chechoslovokian(Swaboda is his grandfather's last name)& feels that he is part gypsy. He really wants to find his roots badly. Different spellings on surnames (Stanek, Stanik, Stanix, Swabade, Swabada & SWABODA).
Any & all help is greatly appreciated.
Is your last name maybe related to his?
When I type in these names, yours is the only one that comes up.
I am totally new to this, so any info, leads & hints on how to search for his roots, would be greatly appreciated.
