As to your first question:
Paul b 10/18/1915 son,
Bonita b 10/25/50 Gdaug,
Stephen C b 9/6/1916 son,
Stephen C b 10/22/1947 Gson.
Michael Shimkanin b 9/26/1883 was born in Slovakia. SS# 159-07-9511. He was adopted. He immigrated to the US arriving 1/16/1906 in New York, departure: Hamburg, on the ship: Batavia. He was of the Catholic faith. He was commissioned to come to the US by a cement company to work here as a dinamite specialist in the quarry.
He lived in Northampton, Pennsylvania

We have different spellings of the name: Simkanin, Simko, Shimko, Shinkanon, Shimkanin.

He married Anna Julia Kavcak abt 1905. Anna and her daug., Mary immigrated to the US in 1908.
We have a letter written by Kocanova probably from the Eastern Zemplin around Michalovce area.

Regards and thank you
