Hi Joan.
It will be not simply to find the illegitimate child of your father. The sex with girls in obtained countries in WW2 had the soldiers prohibited. If they have done it, it brought lot of problems to them. That's why they kept secret it. The illegitimate child received the surname of mother. Do you know it?
The next problem is the law of protection of personal dates. There is prohibited to tell or show all private personal dates younger 100 years to strange person according to it. You must declare the relationship at first (parents, grandparents, sibling, son, grandson).
All the best. Tony.
