BASCA (BACA)-Does ayone knw me out here?
Hello! This is one of my illusive ancesters. I am hoping perhaps one of you recognizes him. He was born in Czeckoslovakia on May 15, 1878 and died in Bridgeport, Connecticut on February 11, 1958. I have some information he may have left Germany September 23, 1899 arriving in the U.S. October 2, 1899. I do not know what port he left Germany from or what port he arrived in the U.S. I did find a census, Allegheny City, Pennsylvania-1900, that had a John Basca, boarder. Much of the info fits, but a couple doesn't. Does anyone know why someone would leave Czech in the latter part of the 1800's and what port they wold leave and arrive in? If anyone has any information at all, I would surely greatly appreciate it!! I am sorry that I posted this to a couple other forums. I am new on this list and think I posted wrong the other times.Thank you!
