Hello
I am hoping someone may be able to answer some questions for me. I have been conducting Genealogy research for 38 years, I am doing some research for a cousin. This is where I dead end.

His Great Grandfather is Joseph Solle

He was born and raised in Nehodiv, Austria, Bohemia.

Born: 6 December 1884

Immigrated to the US, Baltimore, Maryland in 1900.

Departed from the Port of Bremen Germany on the ship SS Rhein.

Arrived at the Port of Baltimore, Maryland sometime in 1900 (I believe August).

He started work as a Clothes Presser and later was a tailor before dying young.

Married a young woman named Mary, about 16 years of age who was also Bohemian but US born to Bohemian parents.

I believe his fathers name was either Karl, Karal or Karel. The reason for this is Mary returned from a trip to Bohemia to visit her Father in Law (with that name) in 1907 in Bohemia as the record shows she re-entered the United States at the Port of Baltimore from the ship SS Chemnitz having departed Port of Bremen.

From there I can find nothing. I have seen the town of Nehodiv through a Google Earth tour and it is small (79 people) and was apparently small even in 1900.,

Any help you can give me in this would be greatly appreciated, please send me your rates. I would like to know what the correct family name is, is it Solle? Also if possible, who were his family there in Nehodiv and are there any still living there?

Thanks much

Jeff
