Mary Ellen,
I have the following information on Margaret Jane Cyrus. She was born ca 1839 in Cabell Co., VA, a daughter of Smith Cyrus and Reca Kane. She died after 1876. She m1. William Rutherford on 4/27/1857n in Wayne Co., VA and they had the following children: Spencer, born 9-10-1858; Mary, born ca 1860 and Araminta, born ca 1864. She m2. Thomas Stapleton on 12/1/1876 in Lawrence Co., OH, and they had the following children: Earnest, born 6/7/1865; Sheridan, born 8/2/1866, and Julia, born 6/7/1868.
I am also a descendant of Smith Cyrus and live in Wayne, WV about five miles from where Smith lived. I would appreciate anything you can add.
