According to the SSDI, Avrel died in 1971:

Apparently he had both a sister and a wife named Maggie. His wife Maggie B. Richmond was a daughter of Wellington Wesley Richmond and Annie L. Bragg. Together they had at least 12 children; Wellington also had four with a first wife and two with a third wife (Annie was wife number two). I am researching all of the children from these three marriages and would like any available information on Maggie and her husband and children.
