We probably have some ties in Cabell/Wayne County. Smith Cyrus was a child of Jesse Cyrus and Francis Smith. In addition their other children were Phoebe, Abraham ( my ancestor), Thomas, William R. They also raised a newphew who was orphaned at age 2-
John Smith. Jesse and his wife appear to have come from Stokes Co NC ca 1800.
I'm getting this information from the Cabell Co. Heritage book which outlines many families.
