I am descended from a JESSE CYRUS b. 1760 in Scotland, who is listed in the 1790 Census of Stokes Co. NC. Also listed in the census are Alec Syrus and Nimrod Cyrus, who were probably brothers or cousins of Jesse. There are a lot of the first names you mention in this family, such as Alcy, Enoch and Jesse. If you feel my information would help you, please let me know. My branch of the family moved to Wayne Co.
