My Davidson family was closely associated with the Cyrus family, especially Matthew, in East Tennessee, Alabama, and Illinois. These Davidsons came from Patrick County, VA, with probable relatives in Stokes Co., NC., settled in Grainger Co., TN and vicinity, then Morgan Co., AL, then Macoupin Co., Ill. Matthew witnessed a deed for Golden Davidson in Claiborne County, TN in 1814 and both appear in Morgan County, AL, later. Was there a family connection?
