I have really scanty information on Ida. She was born 2 Feb. 1867 and is my Great grandmother. She was married to Neil JOHNSON (bd Aug 13, 1855) they were married in Burford, (Brant Cty) Ontario, Canada in 1882
I have her birthplace as Quebec City, Quebec.
Neil JOHNSON met Ida in the Wakopa District ( I believe that is in Manitoba)
She spoke only French. They raised 6 boys and 6 girls in Killarney Manitoba,
then moved to Winnipeg in 1923, they then moved to LaFleche, Sask.
(No idea what her parents names were)
From word of mouth, I know that Ida's grandfather was 'Pierre CYR' and my
father has said that Ida and Louis CYR (the weightlifter) were related. I have found they were 1st cousins once removed as I believe they shared the same grandfather. I am still piecing all the
info together and any help you can give would be very much appreciated! I have been searching for years!
