Debbie,

I may have some information for you and I am looking for information also. My grandfather was John (Jean) Cyr. I have been searching for burial place of his father Abraham Cyr, son of Michel (Firmin, Charles, Louis, Jean) and Josephe (Rousseau) Cyr. He married Marie Jacques, daughter of Jean and Euphrosine (Lessard) Jacques, 23 July 1860 at Saint-Michel's in Sherbrooke, QC. The family emigrated to the United States between 1875 and 1877. The 1880 US census for Somersworth, NH shows his occupation as a worker in a cotton mill and his name as Abraham Sear. Abraham's children were: Marie, Joseph, David, John, and Eva. John Cyr and his wife Margaret Thompson Cyr lived in Windsor Locks, CT and are burried there.
