Re: Le Syre of Massingham Norfolk England: Update

In Reply to: Le Syre of Massingham Norfolk England by v. suzanne sears of 2246

We may well have a DNA sample from these Le Syres

One Thomas Syer b. 1621 shipped out from Gravesend Kent to Virginia in 1635 onboard the ship ASSURANCE

and is very likely the founder of the original SIERS in Prince William County Virginia.....and the progenitor of the SIAS SYAS SYRUS and CYRUS lines in Viriginia

a long time mystery

This lineage eventually as well became some of the Sears of Virginia: but not to be confused with the later ones
that
are better known as the Richard Sares line in Pennsylvania
and
Captain Robert Sears of the War of Independence.

What we can conclude here: is that our Pierre has no relationship to
the earliest Sears of Virginia proven by DNA
that shipped out from London England

PS:

I should correct the preceding posting re: Edward the 1st:
indeed he was later than the Norman conquest not earlier as I have suggested

The Le Syres were leased out 18 acres to farm: paying some harvest and some money from land held by William de Mandeville
