Have an ongoing mystery to solve.
My Great Grandfather's records first appear in the 1881 St.John,New Brunswick Census. He calls himself Lawrence Cyr from Quebec. When he marrys in 1884 his name is Larie Cyr. On future census' he is Laurance,etc..etc.. I know his birthdate is Sept.04,1856. On the St.John's Burial Permit it is listed that his place of origin is Madawaska. Can anyone help???
Thanks,
Dorothy
