The first civilization of Ireland was on the far west coast: the same regions of Pierre DNA......
People had been living there for 7,000 years......and began to build ancient covered tombs........simple at first
These circular stone huts if you will: were built to contain the cremated remains of ancestors........but amazingly they contained art: carved into the stones.
This art is an exact duplicate of the cairns of northern Brittany.........indicating that the two places shared the same culture and religions.
Slowly culture in Ireland advances east and north: and the round pyramids start becoming massive.
These structures are aligned with the sun and stars exactly like the pyramids; but are at least 2,000 years older than the pyramids.
The evidence begins to build of strong connections to Scotland and England.........necklaces of glass from Britain: elaborately carved faces; of material only available from the Orkney Islands of Scotland.
This was one of the most advanced cultures on earth: and they were very wealthy..........thousands of years before the rise of Egypt and other ancient Greek cultures.
They had religion: they farmed: they had art.....and they travelled.
These were not primitive cave dwellers.
These stone megaliths were huge; and each stone weighed tons. Principals of physics are clear.
There is great argument about Celts......now that tablets of writing at least 2,500 years old have been found in southern Spain;Portugal......
The argument says: the Celtic culture could not have arisen from the Alps as the evidence shows the language was in the west and then spread backwards east.
If the newest finds in Ireland are an indication: the start of the Celtic culture might well have been Ireland and Brittany itself:
The shapes we think of as Celt: the stone structures: all 150,000 of them in Ireland: pre existed thousands of years prior.....other than in Brittany.
The evidence that even thousands of years ago sea travel was part of their lives is abundant.....perhaps this Celt culture of Brittany and Ireland spread south: rather than south to north.
There are now bones to analyze from 4,000 years ago in this region....
So what happened to these people...........because around 2,500 years BC......this whole cairn building stopped dead in its tracks.
The evidence from peat preserved trees of the time show a global catastrophe: probably of meteorite origin......where all vegetation started to suffer and barely survived.
Possibly this triggered some ice age issues.......
A people who previously worshipped the earth suddenly started building structures like stonehenge pointing to the heavens and showed clear knowledge of astronomy: thousands of years before our times.
Perhaps what occured convinced them their gods to that point had lost power and the new gods were in the heavens.
.....the fear of the comets so great.
Perhaps that entire concept of gods in heaven began around this time.
Was everyone wiped out.......or did they just leave Ireland.
We wont know until the DNA can be analyzed......these were Neolithic people after all. No one knows if any DNA can be had at all....but the prominence of peat preserved many many ancient living things.
The logical assumption: if all the vegetation died off over a period of a decade: and ushered in some form of colder world: is that they shifted south.
Perhaps the theory that Ireland is populated by the Spainish might turn out to be that the Spanish parts are actually occupied by back migrating irish.
What intrigues me is to know how Pierres Dna profile gets locked into that tiny pocket of the world.......is it ancient to the region..........or a later migration.
In any event: what seems odd to us today: this oneness of Ireland and Brittany: was a simple fact for thousands of thousands of acient years gone by.........the two places lived as one culture.
The flow of people to them: back and forth; was as common as us to the USA.......
What was special about these people that they created probably the most advanced architecture in the world for its time.........
What was their DNA signature.......
Where did they come from previously.....what made them such great builders........even to to modern times...
We think of people 7,000 years ago as living in caves wearing deer skin.....
The evidence is clear; they might have worn deerskin: as caribou type bones have been found......with their cairns and dead..........but they lived in very advanced social groups in very advanced stone and wood and dirt houses.
Nothing like the picture we have in our heads today.
Clear signs of Celtic culture exist hear thousands of years before La Tene Celts of the Alps.......
Including metal pins and bits.....
It is clear the Irish lived in round roofed structures while La Tene Celts lived in peaked roof units: like Swiss Chalets today.
The real question is: who were the real forerunners of what we consider Celt culture.....
Its looking more and more as if at least the sea coastal peoples of Spanish to Irish origins are the true originators of much of it.......certainly the art, language, writing looks like it developed on the Atlantic.
Dna should explain much of this one day.
