I have been in contact with the European fellow who is posting most of the Sirres of Tarn records:
He does not at this point know the origins of the family but is absolutely sure the name was pronounced as SIR
and not Seer or Seeray..........
Therefore I must investigate this further:
even though it makes little sense for Acadia
enough other factors line up to make it worth exploring
