Suire and Sire in France

Suire seems to be a modern spelling of Sire......
and equivalent.......

today in France: when you see records of the name Suire...
it has inevitably been recorded by current family members
to ancestors
whose name would actually have been Syre/Sire......

Also: in Calais: when you see the name in records as Sire...
it is missing the accent to make it sound Searay...
and isn't the same thing as Sire or Syre.

As well: the great number of Lesire's in Belgic regions spilling over into Namours and Yonne around Paris, etc....

I am told by one of their leading genealogists are not Syre's or Sires.......the Lesire was all one name......all one spelling....
and continues to be that way
even if we see it posted as just Sire or Syre.......members of this clan are Lesires.

to their knowledge: they have no connection to any French Syre's or Sires.........

For those searching: these types of things are a continual problem:
where one finds just Sire posted.......
but is either an entirely different pronunciation
or
is a modern version attributed to ancestors who had quite different spellings
