Sirre/Sire Brittany

I located a huge family tree built by a Michel Sire of St. Nazaire France..........55 direct lineages..that's a lot of Sires!

However: I have not been able to contact him directly.

But his site says that the Sire clan is Breton in origin......and drifted down to La Rochelle regions:

(which is consistent with the Andre Sire clan)

75% being from Brittany/Loire Atlantique
25% from Vendee/La Rochelle regions
a few in St. Malo
a few higher up the Brittany coast to Espagnois: where we find this spelling in use: Sirre

He claims but does not explain that the Sire clan had many commercial dealings with the northern Spanish in Nantes.

This is consistent with our DNA being Brythonic Celt.

I did find a family Sirre (as Pierre spelled it)

Jacques Sirre married to Adelice Guillou
of
Ploemeur Morbihan Brittany
who had 2 kids
Jean 1631
Pierre 1637: no further information

So I have written to the Ploemeur historical association for more information (as they were the ones who posted this data) as well as the Guillou family archivist.

Will post when I hear anything.

However: this Michel Sire posts no fewer than 6 Pierre Sire's missing information.

So the hunt continues.

Cheers
