DNA RESULTS: Andre Sire Quebec and Pierre Sirre Acadia

The early 12 marker results are now in:

Andre Sire/Cyr of Quebec 1668 is NOT
related to
Pierre Sirre of Acadia

at least not in the 1600's

they have 3 different markers indicating no relation during the time of emigration to Canada....

They do share a same Celtic ancestor around the year 1,000 to 1200.........and might well have been in the same tribe....

This is fairly solid proof that Pierre is not related to the majority of La Rochelle Sire's........and those slightly north and east..........

at least not in the 1600's.......

The Pierre's are more closely related to the Sire in Cote D'Azur.........although not a lot more closely......

This begins to point the arrow to a location more south of La Rochelle for Pierre........more consistent with Aquitaine and Perigord.
