If one tracks Pierre de Serre as potentially being Pierre Sirre all the way back to Perigord France, in the 24330 and close region postal codes of today one indeed does find a Pierre as a candidate where all is known of him is that he dies before 1725 no wife no children which is exactly what we are looking for in a man who left for Canada For this to happen, it means he shows up in the community: could be many ways up until 1725: even possibly listed as "brother of......." at a funeral: thus not requiring him to physically be there........but after that all trace is lost..... that could be he was simply forgotten after such a long time or that his family knew he had died: but not in his home town.... Now this large family ALWAYS wrote their name DE LA SERRE and previous to that (and some today) as D'ABZAC DE LA SERRE D'Abzac is a castle located north of Perigord: actually in Poitou regions........ and this family had roots to this area as far back as 1100.a.d. They were fierce supporters of the English during their occupations of this region...... If we find out Pierre Sirre is actually Pierre de la Serre it would be worth tracking this data down.
