The entire Suire clan were ferocious Protestants.......part of the original small founding group in the La Rochelle region.

The easiest way to find data on this family is through the Huguenot history web links: amazing amount of data on them.

The Suires are all mostly listed. You can also track them to England quite well as a significant number ended up there during the late 1600's due to the persecution.

La Rochelle had not held a Catholic mass for 40 years prior to that: so it was the Catholic's who were the minority there.
