Just for those of us searching for the way Pierre Sirre got to Acadia, another route to search is this: In 1663, Nicholas Gargot, a good friend of Nicholas Fouquet (whom we know actively brought people over) had been granted the fief of Plaissance Newfoundland and set sail for there in 2 ships Aigle d' Or and the Jardin de Hollande but only the Jardin made it to Newfoundland. The Aigle went instead to Quebec. along with this expedition was a number of troops who thus would be in Quebec but not part of the Carignan troops in 1664. These men most likely left contracts somewhere. This is another possible way for Pierre to get to Canada. Notify Administrator about this message?
