Deny's 1665

In a letter written by Talon to Colbert April 2, 1665 in La Rochelle before sailing to Canada, he states that Denys is bringing over 25 men to work to develop the mines of Gaspe and that he will bring them on the same ship as Courcelle

that he is bringing over 400 engagee's to work in Canada:

He says 150 he got from La Rochelle and 250 from Dieppe.

He says only 10-12 are young women.

That means that 25 men on the ship St. Sebastien 1665 sailed for Acadia.........engaged to Deny's......another source to check for Pierre Sirre.
