I was excited to hear from you, but I fear you may have the wrong Costas Constanti. My grandfather had five children with his wife in Cyprus (the youngest my mum in 1935) before emigrating to England in 1937, with all the family. His wife, my grandmother died during the war, but he certainly survived the war, and I don't think he was in the army either as he would have been well into his forties at the beginning of the war. He was in catering though (one of the Greek Cypriots' stock trades!) and died in about 1959.
Shame there's no link, but there you go.
