Hello Lorraine
This is very interesting, I suspected that George Douglas had more children, I have dim memories of my father-in-law speaking about his brothers and sisters. I met Gladys(late 60s/early 70s), she lived near Brighton, I think she lived somewhere in Africa before returning to England. I am trying to get some information from Tommy Douglas my late wife's half greek cousin, but he has not replyed to my letter. I know Fred and Arthur married Greek Cypriots, I think Archie did as well.
My father-in-law was Kenneth Sholto Douglas and was the youngest, he was born in Cyprus 1905 and returned with his parents in app 1921. Most of the family tree I have so far is from my wife's family album, luckly she got her father to write names against the photos, otherwise it would have been useless. One photo is of a boys cricket team and shows, I believe George's dad, the name is Thomas F Douglas.
I cannot verify any of this with dates as I cannot connect anyone for sure on census and BMD.
If you like please send me a note to troddr@btinternet.com and I can send you the pictures I have in my wife's album, maybe between us we can get a full picture of the family.
Ron Trodd
