The only Sparsis I am aware of is a family probably originating from the village of Tersefanou near Larnaca (yes it is SW of Nicosia and thr village of Ayios Theodoros is right next to it). A member of this family Mikis (Michael) Sparsis studied in USA as well as LSE in London was a lecturer in American Academy in Larnaca and also a well known author.
